Je suis Boris Gerlach (aka drstrange) de Vaihingen Enz (30km de Stuttgart)

Je suis 49 ans et Je travail de Alcatel Lucent. Je suis engineer pour development
in the mobile HW development departement.

J'ai une Bullet500 avec le Motor Lombardini 440 Diesel de Horst Beckedorf

On the 23.06. - 26.06. 2011 we will go to a camping trip via Karlsruhe via Wissemboug through
the Alsace to Bassemberg (Camping Campeole Le Giessen 30 Persons). The young members
of our MSCE Club (MotorSportClubEnsingen) Streetfighters will ride the difficult way about the hills and the
mountain passes in the vosges. (Col de la .... etc).

But my group is the group with the older members of the club. (BMW Cruiser old Harleys and Enfields)
We have several older people here which are not lucky to ride the big hills and passes.
We prefer to cruise through a nice countryside and to have an easy way to go from Wissenmbourg to
Bassemberg. But not autorout or other big streets. So is there any native Alsacian, who can give us a HINT
for an easy nice way to the Campeole camping. I think via Saverne and Sarrebourg may be we have a longer
but an easier way? We are not in a hurry. We also would like to stop to visit a good restaurant on the way or to visit
a ferme auberge for buying fromages and vine (for our camping). Last year we had been to Lons le Saunier
and the Lac de Chalain in french Jura and it was bikers heaven, but for some guys it was to far away, so this
year we prefer to go to alsace.

Any suggestions here?

Elsaß oder Lothringen ist Geschmacksache. Selbstverständlich bevorzuge ich Lothringen : wilder, mehr bukolisch, ideal für echte Traümer.
Elsaß (besonders berühmt für Wein, Sauerkraut, Wurst, Fachwerkbauen unter anderen ; das lass'ich zu den zahlosen Touristen.
Wissemburg, Saverne, Sarrebourg, Raon l'Etape, Saint Dié usw, wo die Landflucht jedes Jahr größer ist ; dort sind leider gute Restaurants immer seltener zu finden.
Ich rate Ihnen, vielleicht auf Internet zu gucken bevor loszufahren. Wenn Sie Abendteurer sind, finden Sie sowieso immer wo zu essen.
In manchen "Routiers" koennen Sie auch gut un billig essen, leider sind diese öfters zu am Wochenende.
Wenn Sie weitere Information brauchen können Sie uns wieder schreiben. Wir sind gerne bereit Ihnen zu helfen.

Today I checked the route proposals given by you.
I will go via Obernai and I will make a little detour via Le Hohwald to
visit the ferme auberge du Kreuzweg. I think this is a good solution
to find some good fromage de Munster and some goo alsacien vine
This ferme is open during summertime every day and they are specialized for
canard and sanglier. So I think this will be a good entree for the trip.

after le howald, take le champ du feu, le col de la charboniere, le col de steige, le col d urbeis, at le col d urbeis, take the left, 10 kms and you will be in bassemberg (take the right, 2 kms and you will be in front of my house )

The intension was *not* to ride the passes (Not so much passes) But we can visit ourselves in la ferme auberge du Kreuzweg?
Oooh the Jeudi next week is not a celebration day in France (but in alsace?) Nevertheless, we will stay there at around one o clock
for lunch time.I have a 30cm Insigne à coudre on my jackett (Diesel LD440 Royal Enfield) The other guy will have a big BMW R1200C.
Another guy will meet us with a normal GS1100 and the fourth guy might have a African Twin.
